About the BEACHES
Thanks to great distance from any city, industry or any other pollution source, the beaches of Kaprije are rinsed in an exceptionally clear sea. Some 20 metres from our house, near the olive-trees and rosemary bushes, there are a number of small concrete beaches with steps for your easy entrance in the sea. Choose the one you like the most and spend the day lying in the sun in an absolute silence with relaxing sound of the sea and cicada chirping.
At the lower end of the Kaprije cove, about 400 metres further, you can find a sand beach that will bring joy to your children.

About 15 minutes further from that beach there is a little path that leads between dry stonewalls of vineyards and olive-groves, and reveals a true jewel of the island. The Nozdra cove is a confirmation that a “skimp soil really keeps its treasure”, as it says in one of the tunes about Dalmatia. A natural gravel beach and white smooth stones, ideally made for comfortable sunbathing, frame the turquoise sea making contrast which beauty you will not be able to resist. If you prefer shady place, you will find it under the pine-trees that grow right along the beach.
When you become thirsty and hungry after a long swim, a refreshment awaits you in a bar or a restaurant on the other side of the Nozdra cove. Both premises are decorated with a lot of style, in stone, melting them with a surrounding nature.
DIVING
On the island of Kaprije, about 300 metres from our house, is a diving centre (pictures) where you can rent diving suits at excellent prices and together with the experienced diving crew enjoy the kingdom of sparkling colours and exotic fish. You will especially be fascinated with the NW cape of Kaprije where the sunken ship Francesca da Rimini is located.

Right next to the neighbouring island of Kakanj is a blue lagoon that fascinates with its Caribbean blue colour. So intense blue colour of the sea is a result of a sandy seabed but if you dive in on the depth of about 3 metres you will find out that it’s not really the sand that gives it such intense colour but the seabed covered in little white shells. While swimming, you will have a feeling that you have dive into some kind of unusual fluid instead of warm sea.
The island of Kaprije is well known for its excellent diving sites. Francesca da Rimini is a ship that sunk during the World War II and, thanks to the great sea clearness; its contours can already be seen from the depth of 10 metres. At the Kaprije cape a submerged wall is located with caves full of life.

BOWLING COURT

Bowling is one of the oldest forms of local’s social life. The game is about 2 teams, each usually consisting of two players. The point of the game is to get your bowls as closer to jack as possible, so, you get as many points as bowls you have closest to the jack. Simple, isn’t it? If you are willing feel free to ask any of the local players to show you the game and aloud you to play one round with them, maybe even win them!
